I am a passionate advocate for youth and adults from challenged communities to have equitable access to exceptional healthcare, educational & career opportunities and to thrive in safe communities. As the daughter of teen parents and raised by my grandmother, I was surrounded by a caring community of adults, who supported, mentored, and empowered me. I am the first person on my grandmother's side of the family to obtain a college degree and continued my studies to receive my graduate degree. I have dedicated 20 years of my professional career to the nonprofit sector, working for a foundation and running a direct service program.

 

I have created a development plan focused on diversifying and increasing revenue and identifying areas of opportunity for the organization, which resulted in a 30% increase in revenue.

 

I am often asked how to brand a nonprofit, attract donors and grow its impact. I want to take my experience and help entrepreneurs build and give back to their communities to make a greater impact. Entrepreneurs are busy and need help navigating the nonprofit world.
